How you CAN help

There are many Auckland food banks that support our community and help locals through difficult times with food care packages and daily meals. However, the food banks need our help to keep their stock full, otherwise they struggle to keep up with the needs from families and locals.

That’s why recently, we have started donating food CANS to a different charity each month to support those in need and to help our local charities that work very hard to distribute food in our community.

How we are helping

During the month, our staff and customers donate food CANS and we sort it in our Food CAN Office Basket.

Once the end of the month arrives, we deliver the food CANS to a charity

How you CAN help?

Giving back can be a little complicated when living a busy life, that’s why we make it easy for our customers to give back.

When you book in a rubbish or item pick up with us, we encourage you, our customers, to donated a Canned food item.

How it works

If you would like to donate a food Can on your junk pick up day, our drivers will arrive onsite, lift and remove your rubbish, then during payment, just hand the driver the food Can you would like to donate.

If you happen to be busy or unavailable during your rubbish pickup, just leave a Can of food near your junk pile so that when we come and collect your junk or items, we can also collect the Can of food. Don’t worry our driver will make sure the Food Cans are clean and stored at the front of the truck away from the rubbish.

At the end of the day, our drivers drop off all the collected cans to our head office and the Cans are stored safely until charity drop off day.

What conditions do that CANS have to be in?

All we ask is that your food CANS are clean, not rusted and not expired.

If you have booked in for a rubbish pick up and want to donate a Food Can let our driver know or let our friendly customer service team know.

If you have rubbish that needs to be removed and disposed of, we can help! Our friendly team can come and remove your rubbish for you! Just email us now on our quote me page and we will get back to you with an estimate quote.
